We are proud of our methods and our results. Pure Habitat NYC also advises our clients on ways to achieve and maintain a greener lifestyle.
We service mainly Brooklyn and Manhattan. Both residential and commercial clients.
My name is Cory and I am the founder of Pure Habitat. Currently, I personally handle it all; from cleanings to book keeping, scheduling to marketing.
We are seeking a part-time associate to take on cleaning jobs now on our schedule which is growing fast.
This is more than a cleaning position. The care for our clients is therapy for them and their homes. You must really truly enjoy taking care of people! We clean and energize their space with our positive energy.
This business and my clients are my family. I love them all very much and take care of them in a personal way. I have learned their likes and dislikes over the past four years and want to make sure that they continue to feel the same amount of care and attention to detail from you as I have given them myself.
I am looking for someone who can work independently and work smart.
You are:
Dedicated, Loyal, and Trustworthy. A problem solver, and very hard worker. Charismatic and courteous.
Duties:
You will be responsible for thoroughly cleaning homes and small office spaces, which include the following tasks:
- Sweeping or vacuuming and mopping of all floors including baseboards.
- Gathering, separating and disposing of all trash throughout, replacing any liners in waste receptacles.
- Dusting and cleaning of all furniture and fixtures including lamp shades, ceiling fans, window treatments and upholstery.
- Cleaning windows (including sills), glass surfaces, mirrors, sliding glass/French doors.
- Dusting shelves, office machines and equipment.
- Thorough cleaning of bathrooms including toilets, sinks, tubs and showers.
- Thorough cleaning of kitchens including stoves (ovens too!), sinks (above and below), refrigerators and microwave ovens.
- Making of beds and changing of linens.
- General straightening and tidying, leaving the habitat orderly in appearance.
Again, I will need you to do more than just clean.
Beyond cleaning,
I need to know when supplies are low at our locations. I need the personal requests and sentiments of the clients to be clearly relayed to me so that I can completely support you and them. WE like to keep our clients informed about environmental news and ways in which they can live ?greener? It will be one of your duties to inform and share with clients? eco-issues that I give you.
I will continue to handle all of the scheduling, and managing details of the business.
Other requirements for this position are:
- Fluency in English.
- American citizenship or a green card.
- General physical health to perform the duties listed above.
- Availability on weekdays and some Saturdays.
- Knowledge of and an ability to commute throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.
Hours:
I am flexible and so are my clients. If there are things in your schedule that come up, as long as we know with some advance, they can most often be accommodated. Given that you are willing to accommodate their changes and needs as well. You will become as important to me as my clients and I will do my best to honor your needs.
Currently the schedule is about 20 hours a week and growing. Some of the jobs are bigger than others and for those I will schedule an assistant to work with you. We are growing steady and I have found that I am turning away business because I am in need of a full time cleaner. I need to get out of the field so that I can concentrate on growing and managing the business.
Salary:
The pay will start at 12 dollars an hour (plus tips) until you are completely trained. Once you are ready to handle the schedule on your own we will negotiate a new rate. This rate will reflect your experience and dedication to the job. It will range between $25-$35/hour.
Clients fill out evaluations every quarter and this will determine bonuses.
How to apply:
If this sounds like the perfect job for you; please email me your Resume and tell me a little about yourself; As well as your availability for a preliminary phone interview.
Please submit Resume in Word or PDF format.
IMPORTANT
I understand that we are in hard times, but please only serious applicants apply. This is a long term position not just something to hold you over. I truly need a dedicated individual.
